Figured I would join this week-as I enjoy memes!! SO for Book Beginnings I have just started The Sugarhouse Blues by Mariah Stewart.
Back cover excerpt:
With a large inheritance at stake, each of the late Fritz Hudson's daughters has her own reasons for wanting to meet the terms of his will: restore a family-owned historic Art Deco theater in his hometown of Hidden Falls, PA.
Book Beginning:
Desdemona Hudson stood in the lobby of the old Art Deco theater in Hidden Falls,Pa, and raised her eyes to the water-damaged ceiling.Flares of color-red,gold,green-shot out overhead in geometric patterns from the elaborate crystal chandelier that hung from the center of a large plaster medallion.

Hosted by Freda's Voice -THE FRIDAY 56.
For this you turn to page 56 or 56% of your reader and share a tidbit!!
So from The Sugarhouse Blues-pg 56 (I am not there yet as I just started it).
Barney's eyes grew wide, her brows reaching almost to her hairline. "Ross Whalen is not touching Lucille. No one drives her but me.No one." She paused."Maybe one of my girls here, eventually, but Whalen?Nope."

Do you ever feel like you have emerged better from reading a book?
Yes, alot of books have touched me in a way where I feel either totally refreshed or stronger in a subtle way!!

50/50 Friday-Hosted by The Butterfly Reader!! For this week's theme, it is BEST/WORST READ IN APRIL!!
